What is a specialty item?

A specialty item is an item that is very large, very heavy, has high value, or a combination of these. Due to factors like risk of injury, risk of liability, and more, these require an extra fee.

If you have any of these items, call us so we can bring the the correct tools!

Our movers will not move these items without paying the necessary fee. We charge this fee only to make sure we can provide the correct tools, correct number of movers, and ensure that these items are moved safely with no damage.

Piano
Starting at $350

Pianos are very heavy, ranging from 300-1200lbs or more and their weight is not distributed evenly. They have thousands of fragile moving parts, one wrong move can cost hundreds or thousands in repairs. This makes them a task for only experienced movers.

Non-Slate - $300

Pool tables are an exceptionally difficult item to move due to their heavy, yet fragile parts. These parts include easily cracking slate, delicate felt, and other various pieces depending on your pool table. These large pieces can easily weigh over 700 pounds and require precise leveling.

Riding mowers are heavy, big, and bulky. All  liquid must be drained before moving (gasoline, oils, etc.)  These require special loading equipment like loading ramps, low deck trailers, and other tools depending on your specific mower.

Hot tubs or Jacuzzis can weigh more than 600 pounds which increases risk of injury, and have fragile components like plumbing lines, pumps, jets, and more. Most times they are wired to 220v electrical panels and must be disconnected by a professional.
